Announcing the Jefferson County News Hub
I’m thrilled to share a new project I've been working on: The Jefferson County News Hub. Jefferson County, West Virginia, may be small in size—so small, in fact, that you could fit more than three Jefferson Counties into the footprint of Houston, Texas—but it’s packed with stories and events that deserve attention. That’s where the Jefferson County News Hub comes in.
This isn’t a traditional news site. I’m not writing or reporting news myself. Instead, I’ve created a platform to gather and filter articles from various sources, focusing exclusively on the stories that matter to our community. Using advanced tools and filters, I can sift through statewide and regional news, spotlighting updates directly relevant to Jefferson County and its residents.
Why did I create this? Like many of you, I’ve found it frustrating to search for local news and only come across information that’s either irrelevant or buried under larger headlines. Our county might be small in land area, but it has a big personality, unique challenges, vibrant communities, and incredible stories. I wanted to build a resource where all of that can shine.
Whether you’re looking for updates on local government, events in our towns, or broader issues that affect our corner of West Virginia, the Jefferson County News Hub is here to keep you informed. You can check out the latest news and updates at jcwvnews.zba.bz.
I hope this site is useful and helps you feel more connected to the place we call home. Don't hesitate to reach out if you have any feedback, questions, or suggestions. Thanks for being part of this journey!
